There are no public beaches located on Georgina Island, however the Neezh Meegwunun Campground has a day use fee for their beautiful beach and picnic areas. Please do not swim at anyone’s private beach.
Firewood may be purchased at the Campground or Warren’s General Store.
Be advised that due to the identification of the Emerald Ash Borer Beetle within the Duclos Point Area (November 2014) absolutely NO firewood is to be transported to the First Nation without required proof of local purchase. All crew members of the Aazhawe have authority to inspect all vehicles. For efficiency purposes, please have your receipts handy prior to boarding the ferry boat. If you see this invasive species beetle please contact the First Nation Administration Office at 705-437-1337.
